Western Australia ranks first in Zink, nickel and uranium and fifth in Iron Ore and second in gold, silver, copper and bauxite in terms of the amount of mineral resource reserve.

The Government of Western Australia and Energy and Mineral Resources Development Association of Korea co-hosted the “WA Resource investment Seminar” to introduce the infinite potential value of WA resource to South Korea’s resource development companies on Wednesday 12 May at JW Marriott Hotel..

In this seminar, Mr. Sellers, Director General, Department of Mines and Petroleum did the presentation on Overview of Mining in WA including investment option, overseas investment policies and mining taxation, royalties and charges. Chae, Min Kyoon, Deputy Director, Korea Export Insurance Corporation informed the participants of Funding and Risk management for overseas resource development.
